About Us

Formed by Simon Jackman in 2009, Green Play Project are a creative and innovative group of designers, carpenters and landscapers creating play spaces we are proud of and that users love.

Play matters to us. We care how the children using our playgrounds will get from A to B; we are interested in what challenges, inspires and rewards them. Quality play is important to us, because it wasn’t that long ago we were the ones doing the playing.

All our designs are bespoke – we work project-specifically to maximize your space. We have developed a popular selection of tried and tested structures, but still treat each project as an individual new and exciting challenge. And if that means designing a completely new kind of tree house, then, well, that’s what we enjoy most.

Working closely with Local Authorities and many schools around Bristol, we adhere to the 10 Design principles as set out in Play England’s ‘Design for Play’ Publication, we promote the Children’s Play Council’s priorities for play, we conform with National Play Safety Forum’s position on acceptable risk, and are up to speed on safety regulations.
